The Oracle PL/SQL language contains a command called EXECUTE IMMEDIATE to run a SQL statement that's stored in a string when you might not know the SQL statement's contents at runtime. Knowing how to construct dynamic SQL statements, when you can't use a static SQL statement, makes it easy to respond to runtime conditions that are not known at compile time.
