Programming constructs: SELECT INTO and %ROWCOUNT: Oracle Database 19c: PL/SQL

The Oracle PL/SQL language supports calling SQL SELECT statements. Using SELECT INTO takes the results of the SELECT statement and puts the results in PL/SQL variables. You must know how to use SELECT INTO if you want any communication of results from SQL statements stored in your PL/SQL variables. Built-in variables like %ROWCOUNT give you necessary feedback from DML statements.
