Database Express

- Most everything looks better and is easier with a web interface. Oracle Database Express is no exception. With an installation of Oracle Database 19c, you can manage your database instance with Database Express. You can browse database objects, see what resources sessions are using, and even tune queries in real time. I'll demonstrate the key features available and where to look when trouble strikes. When you install Oracle Database 19c on Linux and create a starter database, the installer sets up Database Express for you and provides the URL. The URL specifies HTTPS as the transport method, the name of the Linux server and by default port 5500 on the server where I set up Oracle Database 19c. But the port can be different for each PDP. I open a web browser and navigate to that URL. At the login page, I enter an Oracle username and password that has privileges to view database status. It can be the SIS user, or in this case c##hr.
