Setting up the PCB environment
- [Instructor] Let's change some settings, export those settings and colors in PCB Editor, and in the process get more familiar with this tool. So, open up your project. You can do that by going to File, Open and make sure you select MYPROJECT.brd. Click Open and here it is. There are a lot of settings you can change and let's go through those settings using the Design Workflow tab on the right. If you don't have this window just go to Display, Windows, Design Workflow. So click on Setup here, we'll set our design parameters. There are a few things you need to change in your design. Let's not start with Display but instead start with Design, and the User units are by default set to Mils in the United States here, usually. Let's go with Millimeter instead, click OK. For the size of the canvas, that's this work area here, the black area, click A1, and that's more than enough space for our design. Let's see here. The Move origin option allows us to move the origin to wherever we want…
