Place the PCB outline and mounting holes
- [Narrator] PCB designs are usually first conceptualized as a product. Then the schematic and PCB come later. The product will have dimensional constraints that require a pre-defined PCB design outline. We're going to use the Design Workflow tab on the right here to complete our PCB design. Now I don't like it on the right actually, so what you can do is make this tab float, and then dock it to the left or wherever you'd like to place it. I'll probably put it more on the left here. And then the Visibility tab I'll put on the right, and stack it with the Find and Options tabs. Okay. That looks better. Great. Okay. Now that my design workflow is in a place I like it, let's continue with the board outline. It would be under Database Preparation, and under the Board Outline section, choose create. Let's go with automatically. So, make sure on the command operations, you have the Create option selected, and set your design edge clearance to something like three millimeters. Let's go ahead…
