Design Rules Check (DRC) and 3D collisions

- [Instructor] Design Rules Check or DRC helps you keep your PCB design within desired design specifications. The 3D Collision feature in PCB Editor minimizes issues during design part assembly. In PCB Editor, go to the Design Workflow window. If you do not have this window, just go to Display, Windows, and check mark Design Workflow. Let's take a look at the display status under Utilities. So, we see our DRC display status here and there are some unrouted nets and connections. All right, so let's click OK and find where these DRC errors are. All right, so since the capacitor C3 got updated with a larger footprint and there was some moving around, this capacitor is overlapping a resistor and is bringing up errors like line to root keep in spacing or keep out spacing. There's also a component-to-component spacing, that's why it's CC but it's listed here as package-to-package spacing, it's the same thing. We also have some other errors with this other capacitor.
