In this tutorial, we're going to look at one of the absolute best…features of optical flares, and one that I use probably the most.…I have here this clip from this short film that I did,…that won a nice award at the Seattle International Film Festival last year.…And so we have this little two year old wreaking…havoc on this city, and we have this bright light here.…And I didn't, I didn't really have the ability…to create great lens flares with the lens that I…had to use to get the result that I wanted here.…those, I, it was a super wide lens, and wide lenses just…don't flare that well, or as great as maybe a longer lens might.…
at least the lens I have doesn't.…So, optical flares can actually look at these hot spots.…And dynamically add lens flares to them as if when we…shot them the lens was creating lens flares in the first place.…So let's go to the layer menu,…create a new, solid and click make comp size.…And we could just name this flare just to make sure we're on the…same page click OK, and I'm going to apply optical flares to the flare layer.…
