- [Narrator] Before we begin creating the geometry for our project, must first create a 2D design file to store the geometry into. So in this exercise, you're going to learn how to select a workspace and work set, and how to create a 2D design file. So let's begin. To start the software, locate the open roads designer connect edition icon on your desktop. Double click on the icon to launch the software. If you do not have an open road designer icon, on your desktop, to start the software, all you simply need to do is go down to the Windows start button, and navigate down to the open roads folder, and click on OpenRoads Designer CONNECT Edition 2020 Release 2, to start the software. Once the software is open you'll be taken to the main work page. And from here, what we want to do is we want to make sure we set the proper workspace and the proper work set.
