Using the extrude feature
- [Teacher] The Extrude and Extrude Cut command are pretty much the two fundamental building blocks for any type of CAD model. That, and the Revolve command pretty much are gonna make up a majority of the features inside of any CAD model you see. Alright, to do that, I'm gonna create a brand new document called Create, I'm gonna type in "extrude", make it private, click OK, and it's gonna go ahead and load the workspace. Alright, as soon as the workspace is loaded, notice of course, like all other documents, we've got a Part Studio 1 and we've got an Assembly 1. We're gonna be starting in Part Studio 1. I'm gonna go ahead and choose the top plane, and I'm gonna start a Sketch. Click over here on the top so I'm looking directly down on it. I'm gonna go ahead and hide these other planes so it looks a little bit cleaner. First thing I wanna do is create a rectangle, so click our Rectangle, click once, click where you want it to end.
