Learn how to download and install the OneDrive desktop app on Mac.
- [Instructor] If you're using Windows 8.1 or later…you already have the OneDrive desktop app…installed on your computer, and I'll talk about…how to set that up in the next movie.…But if you're using a Mac and you want to access…OneDrive outside of using your web browser,…or if you're using an older version of Windows…you'll need to manually download and install the app.…So here on my Mac I've logged into my OneDrive account…on my browser, and this is going to be the same process…on Windows as well.…Once you're logged into your account, look in the lower…left hand corner and find the get the OneDrive apps link.…And that takes you to a page where you can download…any of the desktop or mobile apps you need.…
You can see that because I'm on a Mac,…it's already detected that I'm on a Mac…and I can download the app from here.…But why would you want to use the desktop app…instead of just going through your web browser?…Well, the desktop app allows you to start syncing files…between the web and your computer…or you can upload files to your OneDrive account…
