Find Outlook 2016 Quick Steps on the Home tab of the ribbon. There are five built-in Quick Steps: Move to, Team E-mail, Reply and Delete, To Manager, and Done. The first time you the built-in quick steps, you'll be prompted to provide more information: for example, if you choose To Manager you’re prompted to choose your manager from the address book. The quick steps save time when you're processing work items from your e-mail folders. Choose Create New to create custom Quick Steps.
- Even though we're focusing on our…calendar and tasks in this course…I want to quickly mention Quick Steps…because Quick Steps will allow you to take action…and therefore not have to necessarily flag something…and you can also mark items as complete automatically…using Quick Steps.…Quick Steps are only available in mail folders,…not in your calendar folder,…not in your tasks folder.…There are five built-in Quick Steps…and a sixth which is Create New…that you use to create custom Quick Steps.…
I'd like to choose this Quick Step that says to manager.…Let's imagine that I'm flagging an item…because I want to send it to Jonathan.…I can eliminate that entire step…by using this Quick Step…and customizing it a bit.…So let's imagine that I want to send…this particular email to Jonathan.…The one from Victor.…And I'm going to click To Manager,…and the first time I do this…it will ask me who my manager is.…If you have multiple people who you support,…multiple people who are in a manager…or supervisory role to you,…you can actually use Create New…
