Join Gini von Courter for an in-depth discussion in this video Updating a task, part of Outlook Web App (OWA) 2013 Essential Training.
…Updating is different for tasks than it is for flagged items.…It's a little bit of a subtlety.…But when I click on something that I've…simply flagged, what I'm seeing is the email.…And I can either mark that as having been done or not done.…So, I can say that the benefits…and mission, I actually have reviewed that now.…I took a couple minutes to do it, and I'm going to click, and that is now done.…Notice that it goes away because I'm in the active view.…If I switch to my completed view, it's here.…
If I switch to all, it's here, and it has…strike-through, so that I can tell that it was done.…If I look, though, at a task, I always…had the opportunity to provide a lot more information.…And one of the things that I can do is,…I can update this task and say that it's partially done.…Now,…again, this is something that isn't going to take me that long.…I'm going to review a proposal.…But if this was a task that was going to take…a week, or a month, or seven months, then I might…actually want to go in and note that I've made…
