In Microsoft Project, you can sort tasks by duration, chronological start date, cost and task ID, and you can sort resources by pay rates or cost, resource ID, alphabetical name or alphabetically within their type. This video will explain the different types of sorting and their associated benefits, as well as how to turn permanent re-numbering of the sorting on or off.
