Skipping attachments altogether

Did you know that there is an alternative to using file attachments? There is. Instead of attaching my Excel file, I'm going to copy and paste the content right into the body of the e-mail, eliminating the attachment altogether. This is great for several reasons. The first is that it takes less space. This means the file can be faster to send, and it won't take up as much space in our Outlook e-mail. Another is that the recipient can immediately read it; they don't have to double-click the attachment and wait for Word or Excel to load up. In fact, it doesn't even require that the recipient have Word or Excel, or whatever program you send it in.

A fourth reason is that mobile devices often can't open attachments, but they can read formatted e-mail. And the fifth is that the contents are more easily searched through.
