- If you're using Microsoft Outlook 2016…for the Mac on an exchange server,…there's another new feature that applies to you…when it comes to meeting requests.…Typically when you're invited to a meeting…you can choose to accept the meeting,…you could tentatively accept it, even decline it.…But now there's a fourth option…and that is to propose a new time.…We're going to check it out now.…You can see I'm logged in to a different account here,…which is on the exchange server,…and when you receive an email message…saying you're invited to a meeting,…in this case from "Karen Leslie, Performance Review,"…there are the options to accept,…tentatively accept, and decline.…
And as per usual, notice there is a message here…that there is a conflict here with…another event in my calendar.…So that's where this fourth button…comes in handy.…You could actually propose a different time.…When you click this it's a dropdown…with two options.…One is "tentative and propose new time."…That means if the new time is rejected…you'll still show up as tentatively accepting…
