Join Gini von Courter for an in-depth discussion in this video Opening a calendar shared with you, part of Outlook Web App (OWA) 2013 Essential Training.
…By default, I get to see free busy information for other users but that's it.…I don't get to see anything detailed…about their calendars unless they give me permission.…Now in some organizations, calendars are set up to…be shared with partial or full details and that's…a decision that's been made by management and it's…enforced by information technology, so that's what works for everybody.…But I think it's more the norm that this is a decision…that is made at the department level or is made user by user.…
Jaryl has a policy of letting everybody…in the organization have access to her calendar.…Not to be able to add things and delete them.…They're not editors.…But they're people who can view a fair amount of the detail on her calendars.…So, the way this worked was, she changed the settings…to share her calendar, and then, marked it's an email.…So it's Jeryl has invited you to view his or her Microsoft Exchange calendar.…If you want more information about it, there's an article here, and a link to it.…That's nice.…
