Navigating through Outlook with the keyboard

When we're in a hurry, nothing beats using the keyboard to get things done quickly. Outlook let's us jump through our Calendar, Contact list, and our Inbox with simple keystrokes, and they are easy to remember. From anywhere within Outlook, press Ctrl+2 to view your Calendar. Ctrl+3 shows your Contacts, Ctrl+4 your Tasks, Ctrl+5 your Notes, and Ctrl+1 brings you back to your mail. Now if you have a trouble remembering which one's which, just look in the lower left-hand corner: 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.

Remember that your exercise files has a document that lists every shortcut explained in this course. Our next tip is for those of you running Windows 7. I will show you how to quickly launch an e-mail, a task, and a calendar appointment with just the taskbar.
