- On occasion when working with Tables here in Word 2016, you'll want content to kind of spread across multiple columns or rows, and in that case, you'll want to know how to Merge Cells into one, and the opposite is true as well, you may see a cell that contains content and it would be nice to Split it up so you have multiple columns or rows. You can do that, too. We're going to talk about Merging, Splitting, and managing your rows and columns in this movie and we'll continue with our Landon Hotel Price List. Last thing we did in the previous movie was cut and paste the title into our new first row. So if you need to get caught up, just open up LH_prices0806, you'll have what I have. Well, this first row, it would be nice if we didn't actually have four different columns here. It's hard to see because of the formatting but check out the ruler, you'll see the separators between the columns. They're there, and that's why we see our title wrapping around in this first column.
