Marking an email for follow-up

You know that feeling you get when you ask someone to do something and you walk away wondering if they will ever get around to it? With the Follow Up feature built-into Outlook you can rest a little easier knowing that the email will be flagged for you, or the recipient, or both. While composing an email, pull-down the Follow Up menu. Here you can specify whether the email is flagged for you or your recipient. Choosing any of the times above will mark it just for you. If I click Flag for Recipients, I can flag it for the recipient instead or both of us.

From this window, you can also include a reminder time to pop up an alert at anytime you specify. When finished, just click OK and the window will close. Your follow up options are now set. There are a few things about this feature you should know. First, it only works with users who are on Outlook. Second, if you send too many of these, you're likely to get some serious backlash, so use it occasionally. And that's it! Our next vide...
