Inserting a video as a Windows Media Player control

Some media clips that were created after PowerPoint was released may not play properly when they're inserted into your slideshow. Windows Media Player can frequently play media clips that PowerPoint cannot. If you have Windows Media Player 6 or later installed, you can play these clips with the Windows Media Player right inside your slideshow. I'm going to go down to slide 6 in my exercise file. The title on this slide that says Test of Our Shorter Web Spot. It's best to insert this type of control on a slide that doesn't have any placeholders in the main area.

The next thing we need to do is add the Developer tab to the Ribbon. Click on the File tab and then go down and click on Options. In the Options dialog box, click on Customize Ribbon on the left-hand side. In the column on the far right, put a check mark in front of the Developer and then click OK.
