Four ways to deal with junk email

Often called spam, or unsolicited bulk e-mail, junk arrives in our Inbox on a daily basis. This video explores four different ways to deal with junk e-mail. The first is Outlook's built-in filter. Outlook has a built-in e-mail filter to reduce the junk mail that you receive, placing suspect messages into the Junk E-Mail folder for your review. This happens automatically, but you should check to make sure that it's active. To change the settings of this filter, pull down the Junk menu in our Ribbon on the Home tab, and then choose Junk E-mail Options.

Here you can change the aggressiveness of the filter: no filter, low, high, or only those deemed as safe. If someone's legitimate e-mail has found its way into your Outlook Junk E-Mail folder, you can bring it back to your Inbox and ensure it doesn't happened again.
