Let's get started with some Publisher. So, to find Publisher on Windows 8, you can go to the start menu, bottom left hand corner, scroll on over. Publisher's going to be the big green P, somewhere in there. And, what's going to come up in front of you automatically is the page that has some templates. Now, you can search for anything you want up here in the top. Type in anything and you'll get a whole big list. So if were to click on Flyers, for example, I'd get hundreds of flyers come up here. And I can pick anyone of these that I want.
I'm actually going to go back and I'm going to use this business newsletter here. And I'll keep modifying it as we work through all of these different exercises. So I'm going to go ahead and click Create. And there we go, I now have a newsletter template that I'm ready to use. So, what I need to do with it of course is save it first, so that I don't lose it and I don't have any problems. So, what I want to do is go to the File menu > Save as, and I'm going to throw it in here and I'm going to call it Original Template.
You can call yours whatever you like, and once you type that in, click Save and you are now ready to get started.
