Drawing and customizing shapes

- An excellent way to add visual interest to your publications here in Publisher 2013 is to use graphical elements. There are a number of different types of graphics we can add to a publication, including drawing our own shapes. That's exactly what we're going to do in this movie as we continue working with our newsletter. We're going over to page one here in the left hand side. We'll click the thumbnail to take us to page one. We're going to zoom in to this bottom right hand corner here. So let's just use the zoom slider, click and drag it across 'til we get to around 100%, there we go, and scroll down to that bottom corner where we do have some space for a graphic. Now we do see placeholders for text. We can go right over the placeholder. It'll stay there if we need it. Don't worry about that for now. Let's just create our new graphic. Now we can do it in the scratch area and then just add it to the page after. So I'm going to scroll a little further over to the right and work in…
