Join Gini von Courter for an in-depth discussion in this video Deleting and managing deleted items, part of Outlook Web App (OWA) 2013 Essential Training.
…One of the ways that you stay organized in email whether…you're using OWA or something else, is to be willing to delete…messages when you're done with them and to not routinely hang…on to every single piece of information that comes through your inbox.…Now if you're part of an organization that has formal retention policies, you…will need to follow those for guidance on what you can and cannot delete.…But many…of us hang on to emails for no…good reason, and then they clutter up our inbox.…
They're read.…We don't need them anymore.…For example, Mark's already read this email that I sent him.…He's feeling fine about OWA. We've had a hallway conversation.…He doesn't need it anymore, so he's simply…going to select that message and delete it.…He can click the red x to get rid of it, or he could choose…to right click it and choose delete from the menu that pops up.…So let's just go ahead and delete that message.…There it is.…It's gone.…Now this message he doesn't need…anymore either because he's already forwarded this.…
