Join Gini von Courter for an in-depth discussion in this video Creating and applying categories, part of Outlook Web App (OWA) 2013 Essential Training.
…In this movie, I'll show you how to…create and apply categories to items in your Inbox.…But you can use the same steps to apply categories to items in your calendar…or people app, in the tasks, or in any email folder here in OWA.…If we have a message selected that we would like to categorize,…you can click the More Actions menu, and there's a categorize command here.…You don't have to do that here, you…can also go to the information viewer, right-click…the message, and that same categorize menu opens,…that has some categories that have already been created.…
Now, if you are an Outlook as well as an OWA user, at this point, you might…see categories that you created, if you created some in Outlook 2013.…Because, the categories that you create…whether you are in OWA or in Outlook…are actually saved as part of your Outlook profile.…So you don't have to create different categories, that you…use in OWA or recreate the ones you use there.…They're actually saved for you.…So don't be suprised if you see some things and they look familiar.…
