Changing the appearance of the sound icon

When you insert a sound into a PowerPoint slide, it's represented with an attractive speaker icon but the image is fairly generic. The good news you can apply any of PowerPoint's graphic formatting techniques to the icon and even change the icon itself. Here's how. I'm on slide 3 in my presentation, and I have two different sound clips so it would be useful to distinguish between them. I'll click on the first icon so that it has a box around it and I'll go up to the Audio Tools Ribbon and click on the Format tab. On the left-hand side click on Change Picture and then navigate to the image that you want to use. I'll use Card.

When selecting a new icon do think about how big you are going to want it to appear on your slide. If you are replacing the speaker with a picture, make sure it will look good at your desired size.
