Formatting images

Once you insert an image into your Word document, you can change its size and apply other formatting options to it. Let's take a look. Our document includes this great picture of the company owner but its way too big. We need to reduce its size. Along the way we will check out some other formatting options. Size first! I am going to start by clicking on the image so that it displays its selection handles. To resize an image without changing its proportions, drag any corner of the image.

As you drag you will see a yellow box showing you what the size is that you are dragging to. So when the width gets to be about 2 inches, you can stop. That's close enough. We also want to rotate this image a little bit. So I am going to position the mouse pointer on the rotation handle of top of the image. That's what this green thing is.
