- [Instructor] We've seen that with GDPR companies will have to clearly indicate when they're collecting personal data, explain how data will be processed and ensure that the data will be kept safe. Companies will also have to allow individuals access to their own personal data records and allow records to be updated, exported or deleted as requested. You need to consider how you will change the way you collect, store and process personal data. What business data processes and management also need to be put in place to ensure that you're compliant? GDPR will affect any existing data that you currently hold as well as any new data going into your organization. This means that you'll need to have a process to search for and identify personal data that's being currently held. The next step is then to classify or label this data as personal data and to ensure that this classification is also applied to any new personal data that is being collected.
