Use an ISO file for application installation

- [Instructor] Very often, application vendors provide the binaries for their applications in the form of an ISO file. An ISO file is really just a CD or DVD image file. So let's take a look at how we might install an application into AWS, from an ISO file. So, right now, I'm logged on to my local desktop, and, if I go out to my D drive, you can see that I've got an ISO folder, and within that folder, I've got an ISO file that I've already copied there. So, this ISO file contains application binaries. Now, one option might be to copy the ISO file up to my AWS instance, and then mount the ISO file as a drive, once it's inside of the AWS instance. In a lot of cases, however, that's not going to work, Because AWS will only allow you to mount an ISO file if the file system inside of the ISO file is in NTFS format, and in many cases, ISO files use different file formats.
