In this video, learn how to modify your Office 365 profile, such as personal information and a photo, and discover what other members see in their profile and from where.
- [Instructor] Because Office 365 is team oriented, you'll have a profile that people will see when you're sharing files, for example, working on projects together. So it's important that your profile always be up to date, and in this movie, we'll look at how to update your profile, including your profile picture. You can see I've switched to a different browser just to give you a feel for Microsoft Edge and Office 365, but really what we see down below is exactly the same here at the Office 365 homepage. In the top right hand corner is where you can access your credentials, your profile, your account, for example. You may see, if you haven't set up a photo already, your initials up here in the top right corner. Once you've set up your photo, that's what we see in the top right hand corner, and that's what other people will see when they're collaborating with you, working on projects together, for example. So, let's click here to access our profile. Clicking My profile, will give us access to information that can be updated here in an app called Delve. You'll noticed the tab has changed now to show Delve. And this is our homepage. So, our photo is the first thing that can be added or changed by clicking this camera icon. Go ahead and click it, and you'll see this is where we go to upload a new photo. So if you don't have one, this is where you go to find one. If you do have one and you want to change it, clicking this link will allow you to browse your computer, online locations for the image you want to use for your photo, just keeping in mind that this is what people are going to see when they work with you here in Office 365. I'm going to click cancel down below, because Phyllis is already set up with her photo. But notice down below, there's other information stored with her account, typically set up by the administrator in your organization. But we can update our profile when information needs to be added or changed. Click Update profile down below, you'll see contact information over here on the right, email addresses, etc. Some of theses things we can't change, and it's up to the administrator in your organization. But when we go down to the next category, About me, you can see it takes us down to an area where we can add information about ourselves. In this case, Phyllis has already added her information, but if we needed to change any of this, maybe the title isn't VP, it's actually Director, we can change information and click Save to update it. You can also let people know what projects you're working on, by adding projects down below. You can scroll down the page, or click the link to take you there, but click in the project title area, I'm going to add something that Phyllis might be working on here, I'm going to add Leaf and Mortar User Conference 2019. We'll be hosting it here at Landon hotels, clicking Add project, adds it to the list of projects that Phyllis is working on. You can add skills and experience. I'm going to add a skill, and that's catering. Clicking the Add skill button adds it to the list. Any that don't need to be here any longer can be removed. Maybe budgeting is not something, budgets is enough. There's hospitality down below, you can see we can add information about school, education, even interests and hobbies if we wanted to let people know about that. Right, when we're done all we do is go back up here to the top left corner to access the app launcher, and click Office 365. Notice Delve stays open over here, so you may want to go back to it, and if you do go back to it frequently, just leave the tab open in your browser. If you don't need it, you can click the x to close up the tab, and we're back where we started here at our Office 365 homepage.
