- [Instructor] Your Microsoft 365 users will curate and consume data in the course of normal business operations. Data will be contained in file stores, databases and applications and will be stored in various cloud locations, including third-party cloud data stores. We already know that Microsoft Office encrypted communications whenever data is transferred or what other safety features do they offer to protect cloud applications? When using a cloud-based system for data and applications it can be difficult to secure and maintain a data perimeter. When servers and network routers were locked away in on premises server rooms with access limited to only a few administrators, it was relatively easy to keep a data room to secure. However, applications are now hosted on internet servers out there somewhere.
