This video demonstrates how to use the Office 365 IdFix tool.
- [Instructor] In this lesson we'll look at…the purpose of IdFix.…Which is another tool like…the health and readiness checks tool…that Microsoft wants you to be familiar with for the 346.…And that's our concentration in this lesson.…Not an actual full-blown demonstration,…but rather just to get familiar with the purpose…and the location of this tool.…The job of IdFix is that it identifies duplicates…and formatting problems in your active directory database…before you synchronize with Office 365.…
So it can remediate those problems by just…simply communicating between your Office 365 subscription…and your Active-Directory database.…Now for this to work,…you need to be in an Active-Directory environment.…In other words your computer needs to be joined to a domain.…So for that reason, it sometimes is not terribly practical…for something in a lab or a test environment…such as the test environment that I'm using…to author this course.…
Now that said, let's open up the Admin center,…in Microsoft Edge in my case,…and let's look for the IdFix tool.…
This course helps you prepare for exam 70-346, and master some of the most common administrative tasks involved in setting up Office 365. Instructor Brian Culp demonstrates how to configure tenants and updates, define admin roles, specify custom domains for Office 365 deployments, and plan a pilot with pilot users and usage cases.
