- You may also need to create user accounts that perform the same tasks or share the same settings, such as department or location. PowerShell can certainly help when adding multiple accounts but not everyone is comfortable using PowerShell. In response to feedback, Microsoft have added a feature to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. This feature allows administrators to create user templates. These templates contain settings and properties for user accounts. And they're a great way to quickly create a new user with many settings already preconfigured. You can create a user template in two different ways. You can create a new user and then use the confirmation page to create a template based on your new user. Or you can create a new template from scratch, configure the template settings and then save the template for later use. You can add many settings to a user template.
