- [Instructor] Although many products offer some protection with already enabled default settings, it's likely that you'll need to undertake some additional configuration to protect your data. Microsoft offer guidance to help you implement recommended protection settings within your organization. These are known as security baselines. Using recommended security baselines will allow you to quickly implement security protocols and increase the security of your devices and reduce your operational overheads. Since the security baselines are pre-configured, you just need to fine-tune them to adjust them to your environment. All businesses are different, but when it comes to security there are some common areas.
