Manage recipients and mailboxes in Exchange Online

- [Instructor] At the heart of Exchange Online, are your recipients and mailboxes. These make up the fundamental building blocks for you to use with an Exchange Online. There are different types of Exchange Online recipients including; user mailboxes, shared mailboxes, resource mailboxes, mail contacts and groups. User mailboxes are the most common recipient type in Exchange Online. Each user mailbox is associated with an individual user account. These user accounts can be managed by an on-premises directory service such as Active Directory or by a cloud-based directory service such as Azure Active Directory. User mailboxes can be used to send and receive email, store messages, manage appointments and tasks, and share documents and notes.
