Manage mail contacts in Exchange Online

- [Instructor] We've seen how Exchange Online, has different types of recipients. These include Mail Contacts, which are used when you want to add external contacts, to you Exchange Online environment, without granting them a mailbox license. These contacts are stored in your user directory, either in active directory or Azure Active Directory, and also, in Exchange Online. Using mail contacts, you can populate your global address book, with commonly used external contacts such as suppliers, customers, or partners. Using contacts allows an organization to communicate easily with others outside of the organization. Although mail contacts are Exchange recipients, they are not mail users. Mail contacts are a type of entity that exist in exchange. And mail users are end users, who can log onto Exchange or Office 365 and access resources such as Email and Word.
