Manage groups in Exchange Online

- Exchange Online uses groups to simplify the administration of users, resources, and also for security. Users can also work collaboratively, sharing tasks, notes, and resources when they work in groups. Distribution groups are lists of mail-enabled Active Directory group objects that are used to make the mass sending of email messages easier. For example, if you wanted to send an email to 20 people without a group then you'd need to add each of the 20 email addresses individually to the message. Instead, you can create a group and then add all of the 20 users, or email accounts, to the group. Then you simply add the group object to the email, and Exchange Online will send the email to all 20 accounts. There are three types of groups commonly found in Exchange Online. These are: Mail-Enabled Distribution Groups, often called distribution lists, Mail-Enabled Security Groups or just security groups, and finally, Dynamic…
