Manage Office 365 connection filters
- [Instructor] Exchange Online provides two types of filters for your email; connection filters and spam filters. Here, we'll focus on the connection filter and then in a later video, we'll manage the spam filter. Office 365 connection filters allow you to filter your incoming emails based on IP addresses. This method of filtering is extremely powerful and very efficient as there's very little processing required. We'll see in a demonstration shortly that you can configure separate allow and block lists, and that allow settings are usually given preference over block settings. If you find that email from a business partner is often marked as spam and moved to your junk folder, you can consider using a connection filter to add their public IP address to your allow list within Exchange Online.
