- [Instructor] If you want to create a cloud-based active directory environment in AWS, you've got a couple of choices. One option is to create a Windows server instance, and then provision that instance to act as a domain controller. That will certainly work. The other option, which is the preferred option, is to create a native directory service within AWS, and that's what I want to show you how to do. So as you can see, I'm logged into the AWS console, and I've got a list of all of the available AWS services on screen right now. Now if I scroll down through the list of services a little bit, you'll notice that down at the very bottom we have a section, right here by the mouse pointer, called Security, Identity & Compliance. And then within that list of Security, Identity & Compliance options, we have Directory Service. And when I hover over that, it says Host and Manage Active Directory. So I'm going to go ahead and click on the Directory Service. That's going to take me to the AWS…
