Configure Termination Protection

- [Instructor] As you create more and more easy-to-instances, odds are, some of those instances are going to be running important workloads. It is a good idea to protect those instances against being accidentally deleted, or terminated, as Amazon likes to call it. How can you do that? Before I show, it is important to note that it is relatively easy to accidentally terminate an instance. There are two ways that can happen. The first way involves changing the state incorrectly. Let me show you what I mean. Right here, I have an instance called demo. Let's pretend that I want to reboot that instance. What I would do, is select the instance which it is already selected, and then go to actions, instance state, and then reboot. But, if I were in a hurry, I can accidentally click terminate instead of reboot. If I click terminate, then yes I receive a warning telling me that I'm about to terminate the instance.
