- [Instructor] Microsoft Intune works closely with Azure Active Directory. Azure Active Directory, or Azure AD, is an identity and access management solution for cloud services. With Azure AD, users can authenticate anywhere in the world and gain access to the corporate resources that they need for their job. Let's review the main features of Azure AD. Azure AD is hosted in Azure, and provides a console for administrators to manage their cloud-based active directory, which includes users, groups, devices, and much more. For example, you can configure company branding for your tenant. If you log an activity, configure single sign on, and self-service password reset for your users. End users and devices need to be authenticated, in order to gain access to corporate resources, such as data services and apps.
