- [Instructor] Let's now take a look at how ATP anti-spam offers protection. This is offered through both Office 365 and Exchange Online Protection. You can change the settings for the anti-spam protection using the Office 365 Security and Compliance Center in the Policy section of Threat Management. Here, we can review the default protection, set up mail filtering, and create allow and block lists, and configure custom protection. Mail filtering is used to sift through the emails before they're sent to recipients in boxes. By the default, it is able to offer anti-spam protection with connection filtering, spam filtering, and outbound filtering. Connection filtering checks the reputation of the sender and only if the sender if reputable, will the message be allowed through the filter. The reputation is checked against the Safe Senders list.
