- [Voiceover] Hi this is Steve Wright welcoming you to my Nuke 8 New Features course. This course is designed for visual-effects artists that are already familiar with Nuke, and want to catch up on the new features released in Nuke 8. There are brand new tools like video scopes, as well as important improvements to existing tools, such as the new viewer features. Chapter 2 reveals all of the new 2D features in Nuke 8. There are brand new tools such as: the video scopes, the Pixel Analyzer and context-sensitive help.
There are also big improvements to old favorites such as, the new features in the Dope Sheet, the Viewer, and the completely reworked Text node. In chapter 3, we'll learn all about the big new Nuke 8 features for 3D. Here again, we have brand new tools, such as the ParticleCache node, the EditGeo node, and the MatchGrade node. As well as, powerful new features added to familiar nodes, such as wireframe renders. And be sure to check the long-awaited edition of camera tracking on still photographs, so you can get camera solve and appoint cloud from a sequence of photos from a location or a set.
