- [Instructor] The all new Position to Points node takes an image plus its position pass to create the same texture map point cloud that we saw earlier in the Depth to Points node. To use this node we need to already have the position pass rendered. And by the way, all these images are in your tutorial assets Let's take a look at the first case where we have our RGB image and the position pass rendered in the same exr file. So here we have our RGB image and take a look here is our position pass. We'll switch over to the 3D view because we're going to make 3D points. So to add the Position to Points node, we go to the 3D popup, Geometry, and Position to Points is in the Geometry folder, because it's making points geometry. So we'll add that. Since the position pass is in the same data stream as the RGB pass, all we have to do is come up to the surface point pop up and say use, whatever your name for the position pass is and bang, there we go.
