- [Instructor] Sometimes the keyer just can't pull a good key on some region of the picture, so we have to go in and help the keyer by pulling a separate key for that region using other techniques, then merging it with the main key. In the previous chapter, we saw a million ways to pull a key. Here we'll use a couple of them, then see how to merge them into the main key. Again, it doesn't matter which keyer you are using, or which keying technique. The idea is the keyer itself is having a tough time, and we have to help it out somehow. Here's our set up. I'll push in here. Starting with our green screen, we do our obligatory D noise for a nice clean plate, then I used Primatte to pull the main key, and there's my current alpha channel. Again, like we saw before, we didn't get any good feather details, so were going to try a couple of different ways of filling in that feather detail without using another keyer node.
