- [Instructor] Sometimes the keyer just can't…pull a good key on some region of the picture,…so we have to go in and help the keyer…by pulling a separate key for that region…using other techniques, then merging it with the main key.…In the previous chapter, we saw…a million ways to pull a key.…Here we'll use a couple of them,…then see how to merge them into the main key.…Again, it doesn't matter which keyer you are using,…or which keying technique.…The idea is the keyer itself is having a tough time,…and we have to help it out somehow.…
Here's our set up.…I'll push in here.…Starting with our green screen,…we do our obligatory D noise for a nice clean plate,…then I used Primatte to pull the main key,…and there's my current alpha channel.…Again, like we saw before, we didn't get…any good feather details,…so were going to try a couple of different ways…of filling in that feather detail…without using another keyer node.…The first step is always to inspect the problem,…and devise a solution, how is my target,…these dark feathers, different from the rest of the picture?…
