What you should know
- [Instructor] This course is designed for Node.js developers who either want to start their cloud journey or who want to progress from simply cloud hosting their application to leveraging the power of the Kubernetes platform. You should be comfortable developing and running Node.js applications, using npm, the Node Package Manager, and using the terminal and the command-line. You don't need any prior knowledge of Docker, of Kubernetes, or of cloud deployments because we'll cover all of those during the course. Finally, we'll be running everything locally. That means we'll install Node.js from nodejs.org, we'll be using Docker for Desktop from docker.com, and this means that there's no need for a cloud account. Finally, whilst everything we will show will be on Mac, if you're using Windows or Linux, that will be fine because node.js and Docker are available on those platforms as well.
