- [Instructor] As this course is an exploration of how to build an API with Node and Express, some basic understanding of Node, npm, and its commands isn't a must, but will help you. Next experience with JavaScript, especially ES6 syntax, is essential for this course as this is what we use in this course. As you'll see, I'm running on a Mac, but you can follow along on a PC as the tools work exactly the same on both platforms. Also, I'm using VS Code as my code editor, but feel free to use whatever tool you prefer, although I recommend using an editor with a builtin terminal.
