Join Dan Gookin for an in-depth discussion in this video Sharing images online, part of Android Tips and Tricks (2015).
- Your phone or tablet's photos need not remain…in the confines of the device.…It's perfectly possible to share those images…with an online photo sharing service…or the Cloud.…In many cases that sharing happens instantly…and if you prefer not to have the device's photos…shared with the mass of humanity,…you can adjust the photo sharing settings.…The trick is to know where to look.…If you've activated the Android Backup features…then all your images are automatically saved…to your Google Picasa web account on the internet.…In the Photos App at the main screen,…tap the action overflow icon,…choose Settings,…choose Auto Backup.…
To disable the automatic saving of images to the internet,…slide the master control to the off position…and sync is disabled.…Disabling sync doesn't remove any photos…you stored online.…To review those photos,…use a computer to visit…picasaweb.google.com.…If prompted, click to review your Picasa web albums.…There you will find the Auto Backup album.…Click to select that album.…
See how the photos have a padlock icon?…
