- [Instructor] Track Assistant is what makes Neutron very different than many other channel strip plugins. With Track Assistant enabled, you almost have this virtual assistant engineer who will not only make suggestions but actually mix changes using the different modules in Neutron. So, most of the time these changes are a great starting point and you're going to want to tweak further, but the golden rule is to always use your ears and do what sounds best to you. I'll also say that Track Assistant can be a great way to learn mixing techniques by reverse-engineering what Track Assistant is doing and analyzing and asking yourself why Track Assistant has made some of the mix choices that it has. So let's see how this works. I have this track open from my own album and there's a base pad that comes in at the beginning and I think I want it to sit a little bit better in the mix and maybe brighten it up.
